So, after all the Epstein bill paranoia, I actually looked into it.

The reason they’re freaking out, that they fought so hard against it, is they really CAN’T mess with it.

Too many copies out there, too many witnesses.

And the bill prevents investigation excuses.

“NARROW in scope."

Before the midterms of 1866, President Andrew Johnson called his congressional opponents traitors and said they should be hanged.

Voters were so profoundly moved by his words... that they gave his opponents a supermajority in Congress, and the nation got the Fourteenth Amendment.

Theresa May was a flawed Prime Minister but she had the skill set to lead the UK through Covid. We needed a dutiful plodder.
Johnson, in contrast, was dangerously incompetent and thousands paid the ultimate price.
Being a bit of a laugh is not a criterion for leadership.

This story about a Reform councillor in Northumberland has about three different massive stories in it.

He's accused of ripping off his constituents to the tune of £140k.

He owes his own council nearly £40k in unpaid tax.

His own council is suing him.

Cate Le Bon was sensational at a sold out Barbican Centre this evening. Her band were like shape-shifters, swapping instruments literally during songs whilst Cate was the glue holding everything together. Fabulous.

A female reporter asks Trump about Epstein. He says, “Quiet, piggy.”

When Khashoggi’s murder is brought up in his meeting with the Saudi Prince who had him killed (according to the CIA), Trump says, “Things happen.”

You have a monster at the helm, America. You are in terrible danger.

I want to take a moment to thank the entire Elias Law Group team who worked on the Texas redistricting case as well as our fearless clients. The thirteen Black and Latino voters we represented stood up to challenge Texas's unprecedented mid-decade redistricting. We all ow them a debt of gratitude.

I will never forget having to edit Jamal’s final, posthumous piece for the Washington Post, after he was murdered.

He was calling for free expression in the Arab world. You can read it here :

Opinion | Jamal Khashoggi: What the Arab world needs most is free expression
The Arab world needs a modern version of the old transnational media so citizens can be informed about global events.
