The Kamala Harris campaign reimbursed Beyoncé’s company $165,000 for expenses.

How does that happen?

Here's an honest answer on RFK Junior's behalf:

It's the result of creating a kakistocracy.

Kakistocracy (/ˌkækɪˈstɒkrəsi/ KAK-ist-OK-rə-see) is government by the worst, least qualified, or most unscrupulous people.

The word was coined as early as the seventeenth century.

You’ve probably seen the Energy Star efficiency label on items like refrigerators, dishwashers and laptops.

Cutting the program will save the EPA about $32 MILLION a year – while the program saves consumers about $15 BILLION a year in energy costs.

How Energy Star works:
Energy Star, on the Trump administration’s target list, has a long history of helping consumers’ wallets and the planet
The small blue Energy Star label has become one of the most recognizable environmental certifications in the US.

Instead of CUTTING Social Security benefits, Congress should INCREASE payments by $200 per month and extend the solvency of the Social Security program by 75 YEARS.

How? Make the wealthiest Americans pay a fairer share.

I’ve got a bill to get it done.
Social Security's insolvency date is now a year earlier. Here's how it could impact your benefits.

I'm a former OMB official and this is absolutely true.

And let's also not forget that these illegal actions have direct, harmful consequences for actual people. New moms won't get help feeding their infants. Small businesses won't make payroll. People could lose their jobs, their homes.
There is simply no plausible argument that the president has the constitutional authority to refuse to spend appropriated funds because he doesn’t like how the money is being spent.

The legality of policy impoundments is just not a close question.

Journalists used to reporting on policy disputes within the constitutional system must recognize that an assault on the system itself is a different story. The assault on the system must be explicit in your reporting.

A huge problem right now is that the media is credulously reporting that so many things Trump is doing by EO/edict/OMB or OPM memo is just the end of the matter, that he can do it by fiat.

That is not true.

This is true and it’s worth realizing the reason it is true is that if Democrats dare take credit for a world-historic economic run they’ll be berated by people ON THEIR OWN SIDE, which validates the attack in the eyes of media.
Democrats are only allowed to say “the economy is improving but many people are still struggling” or else they’ll be berated for being out of touch elites.

Meanwhile Republicans can just lie and say “Trump is the best jobs president in history” and there’s zero pushback.
