Trump and Republicans have made their priorities clear: they’ll raise costs for everyone else so long as it means another tax giveaway for billionaires.

That agenda doesn't earn my vote.

A principled deal was possible, but ignoring the reality of skyrocketing costs doesn’t earn my vote.

It’s just another day in Trump’s economy for workers and their families.

For that, I'm still a no.

Speaker Nancy Pelosi is a titan of this institution. This country is stronger because of her patriotism, her example, and her unwavering belief in America’s promise.

I wish my dear friend, Speaker Pelosi, and her beloved family every happiness in this well-deserved next chapter.

Today, I watched the legality of Trump's tariffs argued in front of the Supreme Court.

This case is about more than that though—it's about bringing down prices and restoring Congress' power.

Trump promised his voters that he’d lower prices. Since then, he’s only raised them.

People can’t take any more of Trump’s tariff tax.

It’s why I, together with my colleagues in Congress, am continuing to fight these tariffs at the highest level. democrats-waysandmeans.house.gov/media-center...

Trump just handed $40 BILLION of your money to his buddy in Argentina—double what it was before.

Meanwhile, American farmers are still getting left behind.

People are already feeling the sticker shock of their skyrocketing 2026 health care premiums.

We're here in Washington ready to do something about it, but Republicans need to be here too.

Trump’s attempts to politicize the Fed were always wrong and self-dealing.

Today’s rate cut is an example of why it’s important for the Fed to make decisions that are economically responsible—not politically convenient.

If a government agency has put the privacy of millions of Americans at risk, it owes the people answers.

That’s why we’re introducing a Resolution of Inquiry to get to the bottom of the mess DOGE has made at SSA.
When 300 million people are at risk of identity theft at the hands of their government, people deserve accountability and answers.

That’s exactly what Ways and Means Democrats are calling for.

1/ While 24 years have passed since the terrorist attacks of 9/11, the memories of that day, and the ones that followed, have not diminished.

May we always hold close the memories of all those who lost their lives 24 years ago today.

Political violence is a cancer on our society and has absolutely no place in America or our political system. My thoughts are with Charlie Kirk and his family, and I hope that everyone on the Utah Valley campus is safe.

States should not have to protect themselves from conspiracy theories.

I'm grateful to @massgovernor.bsky.social for putting the safety of the people of Massachusetts over politics. RFK Jr.'s pseudoscience has no place at the top of what should be the world's model health system.

Social Security is a promise America made that no senior would be left to face old age alone. That promise for 90 years has been expanded so that none of the nation’s most vulnerable is left behind.

Republicans want to break that promise. But Democrats will ensure we keep it.

90 years ago, from the dais of the Ways and Means Committee to the stroke of FDR’s pen, the promise of Social Security was born.

Since then, it has protected seniors after a lifetime of work, given families a source of stability in their darkest hours, and offered peace of mind to millions.

The American people didn’t ask for this.

Hiring has stalled, prices are surging, and this administration is actively undermining the labor market Democrats rebuilt.

This goes beyond failed Republican leadership, it's actively making life harder for people.
