I really hate it when scientists keep saying that “we need to rebuild trust in science,” because it implies that scientists are to blame for the mistrust rather than the millions of dollars of dark money that have funded political attacks on science in order to advance a far right agenda.

We built a single-cell atlas of 14 multilayered epithelia and revealed a conserved transcriptomic program guiding tissue architecture and fate composition. Our work brings decades of tissue-specific studies together into a unified evo-devo framework.

mourn the collective loss of genius of folks who were actively discouraged or disadvantaged from a career in science because of the same person(s)

Well that was a nice conference, a bit too clinical for my taste, but still useful as a melting pot of Danish neuroscience. At some points clinicians and psychologists will stop calling the biologists' "pets" lower animals, but baby steps
