Finishing a STEM degree while neurodivergent is like congrats you have a rare and in-demand skillset now BUT!!! Everyone who's hiring expects you to do those skills naked in a glass box at the worst possible hours, and will not consider any other arrangement for employing you.

The Aust Parliament Sports Club (the one that ditched David Pocock) is now formally registered as a lobby group👇🏽

Anthony Albanese is the President of the Aust Parliament Sports Club.

That means the Prime Minister of Australia is currently the president of a lobby group.

Just utterly unbelievable.

Here's the thing, the whole point of 'sponsoring' these things is you don't have to directly lobby or strong-arm, the appeasement becomes tacit - see also the National Press Club quietly slurping cash from multiple weapons companies and fossil fuel climate crims

Ludicrous. The NACC is supposed to be independent but Brereton keeps working for the ADF while overseeing potential corruption investigations about it?
The Kathryn Campbell conflict wasn't enough to demonstrate how costly and damaging this is? That mistake already cost the NACC $1.2m to rectify.
Corruption watchdog head 'consulted' for ADF inspector general 11 times
Paul Brereton and Labor politicians had previously stated he had stepped away from the body and resigned as assistant inspector-general of the ADF prior to taking on the top integrity job.

what a shabby, small town secret society Australia's ruling class are.
It’s not the association with the gambling lobby that brought it in to disrepute, it’s pointing out the association?

Talk about getting it ass backwards. They banned the COMPLETELY wrong person.

Being evil is not bad. Only calling out evil is bad. #AusPol

This is happening in my own state.

Modern slavery on NSW blueberry farms. As well as passports taken, some people paid as little as $150 per week, docked money for transport, use of a washing machine etc. 20 people living in one house.

Adding blueberries to the boycotts this summer.
James explained that he was in debt to the farmer for repairs on his car. His passport had been taken, his wages docked and he had no money for food.

Ian gave him his number, and a few days later James called. He now lives at Ian’s farm.

But when Australian citizens join a multinational contingent to do so,

Would they be able to get away with all this if we didnt have to go to work? Do work, rent and bills only exist to produce profit, or is it just as importantly a function of social pacification, punishment and control? Is the economy just about money, or is it also about power?

The principle that "Every state has an obligation to prevent genocide wherever it occurs" must extend to state institutions too (eg Creative Aust, SLV, SLQ, etc etc) – not just for the sake of Gazans, but also to protect local institutions from their own executives' surrender to political pressure.

The Albanese Government has long been running a cover-up for this whole PwC affair. Weaselling and snivelling behind-the-scenes.

Just like its crookery with the NACC; corruptly stitching-up “donations” laws to block independents/democracy; undermining “freedom of information” laws, etc, etc…
Tax Practitioner Board has banned former PwC Australia boss Tom Seymour for 4 years over the audit and consulting firm’s misuse of confidential government tax plans. A missed opportunity for structural reform. 🧵
