LBC and SF is giving it should RR just put up income tax? Theres been no suggestion of capital gains tax being levered to income tax. But that’s one way the wealthy are protected.

Caller to LBC sees paying tax as him being penalised and disabled people get posh cars. Interesting that he objected to tax on the basis of the latest scapegoating across the zeitgeist. Obviously I’ve worked hard featured a lot.

Recent media discussion on tax (a lot of it on we can’t tax the rich more or civilisation will end) illustrates how deep social Darwinism runs in our culture. The wealthy as wealth creators (hoarders?) to be protected and treated with reverence.

Radio 5 doing a line in property tax can’t work. It’s another line in taxing rich people is wrong. The well known economist K Allsopp wants income tax put up.

Flurry of MSM interest in, was Nigel F racist in his youth? OK. TBH I’m more interested in his recent history of selling the disaster that is Brexit and his current views. I’ve yet to hear NF talk about a Reform policy that made sense.

Radio Scotland doing a piece on Police Scotland not dealing with people going missing. I recall we were promised improvements with the creation of Police Scotland, all I’ve seen is a deteriorating service.

I note that the MSM has moved on from the covid incompetence of BJ. Any consideration of wrongdoing was fleeting and offset by Gove/Frost. 23k needless deaths given the coverage of football results.

Another political week and I’ve seen zero supporting evidence that the proposed changes to asylum laws will reduce racism. I think it’s a lie with an implication that if you don’t support this you support racism.

Tory on LBC asked about child poverty - the best way out of poverty is through work. Tory austerity and the gig economy caused mass poverty. The Tory digital economy is more brutal than the Labour one (but not if KS gets his way)

As Trump attempts to bully the Ukraine into little more than surrender it’s not clear what influence KS the state visit or various negotiations bought us in the special relationship.

I’ve been thinking this week about how unaccountable the political class are over the big things. 23k avoidable COVID deaths Gove/Frost tell us BJ was great. Lots of posts giving unconditional support to Nicola S and her command control leadership. Endless party before counter.

Looking across front pages there’s a lot about Andy giving evidence re Epstein. He should. There’s very little about 23k avoidable covid deaths. I’ll put the radio on to be told by towering intellects like Gove that Johnston was wonderful.
