I find the 'the Democrats won't do anything' doomer line annoying, because the Democrats will be who you make them - look how much the GOP changed over the past decade!

This will be a battle because there’s a lot of well meaning anthropologist types who really do believe it‘s racist to say that eg: traditional chinese medicine is mostly bullshit, but it’s a fight well worth having.

Credit where credit is due: this take is exactly correct. Bunch of people on all sides of this thing are showing their whole asses by completely flipping the polarity of their responses to stuff based on their own intra-left factional alliances.
