There's a way in which many people in the audience (films, games, whatever) are inherently suspicious of storytellers and this is an example of how that manifests.
It's a compulsion to *beat* the art they consume. Find a way to assert themselves over the work. Selfish and stupid.

This is heartbreaking. To a T is delightful and Keita is very possibly the kindest soul on this earth.
Feels like none of us have enough money to go around to support the artists we love, while the corporations who own their creations keep cranking out sequels.

Clair Obscur is a totally fine game but man it was weird to know back in April that this was gonna be how it all played out.
