If there are no consequences then it is de facto permitted. If the consequence is a fine, well, a fine is a price. Vandalism on this scale SHOULD have consequences.

the EU parliament is looking for a native-level irish speaker for a press officer traineeship, starting next march

it's paid (€1660/month, no tax) and is a pretty sweet opportunity to see how the EU sausage is made, and a chance to try brussels (if you're not already here)

deadline end of october!

Please explain how @paulduane.bsky.social post is violent or threatening speech
I genuinely do not understand this
His post did not threaten and was not violent
Or is there something lost in translation between US and Hiberno English

Disgraceful. Absurd. As with the Kimmel situation, politicians across the world want to suppress protest and creative resistance. They hate opposition. They hate protest. They hate satire. They hate art. Soon we will wake up and find our mouths gagged, our hands tied, our pens and laptops taken away

Over half of McGregor's presidential campaign posts on X filled with false claims and threats
A report from EDMO Ireland has found that his rhetoric, amplified by Elon Musk, normalised misinformation during his bid.

Of images that sum up the country’s position on Israel Gaza it will be forever referenced in history

Deer, seals, the whole bunch... People will willfully ignore signage and instructions for a photo.

This is also wildlife crime.

The only thing for it is wardens, fines, and a culture of shaming those who believe they should be allowed to approach, feed, or pick up wildlife for fun.

Despite people’s perceptions, violent crime has rarely been lower in Ireland, but a rise in ‘in-your-face’ crimes made viral by social media is feeding our fear

Just to clear up any confusion:

Our latest pilot programme in the PRIVATE sector was 100% successful.

A council in the PUBLIC sector made their 4-day week permanent last week.

Reducing the working week without reducing pay works in BOTH sectors.

Absolutely dystopian juxtaposition from the Guardian front page. Difficult to understand how anyone of decency and conscience can defend this government at this point. Just sheer moral degeneracy to arm a state that does this and arrest people for objecting. Wtf are we doing as a country?
