w.b. yeats died on this day in 1939. if, instead of dying, he had begun to age again but in reverse, he would have reached his birth - i.e. become 0 years old - in 2012. Assuming that he then began ageing in the normal direction again, he would currently be 14 years old and preparing for his gcses

The Irish Government blaming our Met Service for our weather - having failed miserably on flood relief & protection - is some next level gaslighting.

You dont need a weather man to know which way the wind blows.

Knowing what it's like to help my grandad with computer stuff, if we make him take the AI training we can probably get the AI to kill itself.

JFC "Andrew" the "AI-generated expert on artificial intelligence" on this Microsoft course is the worst teacher and my already dim view of AI in education and training has plummeted even further now.

Funny how many cops in the US still have v Irish sounding names. To be sure.
Minneapolis Police Chief Brian O’Hara told his officers that they have a duty to intervene if they see ICE committing crimes and will be fired if they don't. We need a lot more of this.

A troop of Girl Guides could take over Ireland on St Patrick's Day - and I, for one, want to see that
For the first time, literally every single minister has been listed for travel, as has the Ceann Comhairle and Attorney General.

In some previous years at least one minister had stayed at home.

The only holder of State office (other than the President) staying home is the Seanad Cathaoirleach.

It’s the 724th anniversary of Dante Alighieri being exiled from Florence, ostensibly for corruption, but really for saying the pope had too much power. Five centuries or so later, they built an enormous, elaborate cenotaph for him – which he’s not in, because he never went home... 🧵
