In these dark times we must take joy wherever we find it, and I delight in every picture of how hideous Trump has made his White House look. No part of the decoration has been made to fit with any other. It’s a parody of elitism: witless, crude, clumsy, jarring, cheap, ugly, pathetic. It’s so him

Panera’s moderately caffeinated lemonade was loosely associated with 2 deaths before it was taken off market.

This article alone has 4 examples of ChatGPT encouraging young people to commit suicide, and OpenAI’s own public stats estimate over a million users discuss suicide with ChatGPT each week.

Someone at work today literally said we can't ignore ai tech and that all employers say they are using it and that we need to be able to have that skillset.

How does this line up? I feel insane. It's bad at and for everything. How is it so "crucial"?
ICYMI: Microsoft’s charge “implies a more than $12 billion quarterly loss at OpenAI, said Firoz Valliji, an analyst at Bernstein.”

That “would mark one of the largest single-quarter losses for a tech company in history.”

Something I love about archival films is that when someone had a couple feet of film left on a roll they'd often use it to film their cat. So many films finish with a few seconds of cats

So, here's some cats from the 1950s and 60s. They were loved

I think it might be time to ditch @kotakudotcom.bsky.social The constant stream of deal/sale posts are so obnoxious. Not their existence but the constant repeated ohrases “for Pennie’s” “giving away” “almost free” … on things that are like $90.

A large part of my morning has been spent fighting with the computer when it’s trying to be helpful but it’s not at all and I have to dig around to figure out how to make it stop.

I almost miss the quaintness of Clippy. At least he was easily closed.

I rarely ever use Lyft, but I see that they have an option to schedule a ride to be able to bring your pet with.

Where is the option for the driver to bring their pet with so you can meet a cute dog on your ride??
