If you’re out shopping for Black Friday deals today, remember: it’s a time of great stress and pressure for workers who don’t get to spend the day with their family and friends, and often work long shifts.

Be kind, and take a moment to thank a retail worker.

• This would be so cool if it worked at scale
• Oh, that's why google has a monopoly on search

It’s hard to believe but there was a cartoon about an immigrant mouse and it was seen as totally fine and not controversial and not woke because it was an aspirational and nice thing about America that people could come here and find a better life

- I've been given a lot of private nuance from both sides here but, even just based how the two sides have treated me personally, it's very hard not to put the blame primarily on RubyCentral. I've been a maintainer on Homebrew for 16 years: it's a hard job. If in doubt: I'll side with maintainers. ✌️

There's a little more work to be done (specifically on "Permission Sets"). Once it's done we'll do full dev comms on this update.
Looks like a new OAuth permissions screen was released today. Looks much nicer! Hopefully we can request some more fine grained permissions now as well..

I think it's sweet that New Yorkers still imagine they live life on the cutting edge or whatever. the city is a 70-year-old rock star who thinks he's still the definition of cool because he sells out stadiums to boomers and gets asked on talk shows.

when I first lived in New York in 1996, then again in 2000, I was like 'what a thrilling and overwhelming city.' when I went back in 2014 having lived in globalizing Asian metropolises in between I was like 'oh, what a beautiful peaceful old town.'
