An interesting tidbit in the joint status report filed in the Broadview ICE facility case today:

ICE says video from inside the facility "between October 19, 2025, and October 31, 2025, has been irretrievably destroyed" and can't be produced in discovery.

When I was new at the Trib, Ron Grossman called in a tip on a weekend. I didn’t know who he was, and he could tell. I could name Trib columnists who would have blown up at a kid who didn’t know who they were. But Ron has humility, so he was cool about it. We don’t always agree, but he’s a good man.
