Dreadful news of a woman killed by a lorry being driven on Hornsey Rise. My thoughts with her family, friends and work colleagues and with first responders.

World Day of Remembrance for Road Traffic Victims yesterday. I hope any lessons can be learned from the investigation and any changes made.

People also forget that for many an e-bike IS a mobility aid and yet we can't take them into hotels, we can't charge them on campsites or other accommodation, we aren't even allowed to put them into safe bike lock-ups at work (even if not charging).

And yet you can buy an illegal e-bike from Argos

Another reminder that a 13-year study found that protected bike-lanes led to a drastic decline in fatalities for all road users.

ALL ROAD USERS.

And painted bike-lanes? No safety improvement at all.

For sharrows, it’s actually safer to NOT have them.

Being caught at 35 means her speedo was almost certainly showing 36 or 37. Even bang on 35 would have been obvious.
