Fewer cars not newer cars!

If you can't give a person time and space to be save when cycling then you're a bad driver.

If you won't give a person time and space to be safe when cycling then you're a bad person.
It will send a good message even if largely unenforceable.
Can we do more about cars and the pollution they cause though?

Vaping in cars with children could be banned under new plans
The plans are subject to a 12-week public consultation which starts on Friday.

Trump is cancelling all environmental pollution controls on motor vehicles in the USA. This is criminally insane.

Rollback of government’s ability to limit climate-heating pollution will make families ‘sicker and less safe’, environmental advocate says

You had me worried there. Nestle isnt a great company and pods are generally wasteful but a cheap machine thats been saved from landfill and a refillable pod is cool.
Imo you cant beat an aeropress though.

That was possibly the Lanchester line and the deerness valley line back. Both are really nice too.

Its grim out there still so let's have a flashback to last summer.
This was a short circular ride up to Annfield Plain and then back along NCN7 back to Stanley then down to Tanfield...

Yes, but both times were across Essex, Suffolk, and Norfolk, so hardly the Alps.

Although I did do this when it was still a massively over-geared two speed:

yea I saw that one too. Another psycho who should not be behind the wheel.
"otherwise decent" apart from when driving when he's a raving murderous monster.
February 12, 2026 at 1:59 PM
you would :-)
February 12, 2026 at 1:29 PM
Small but mighty. The Brompton, not Casper, although he may be as well.
February 12, 2026 at 12:59 PM
I have 20" Moultons which aren't a lot quicker than a well setup Brompton. A lot more comfortable though.
Bromptons really suffer if the tyre pressures drop. I find they need at least 100psi to roll well.

The irony.

Oh they're always remorseful with a "heart of gold" except when attempting to kill someone in a psychotic rage.
I always wonder if they are spouse and child beaters too behind the curtain of respectability
February 12, 2026 at 12:32 PM
Yup. why are we even allowing him to drive again. Clearly unsuitable. If it was a firearm and not an Audi we would not be.
February 12, 2026 at 11:58 AM
This is a unremittingly grim tale.
Frankly it should have been an attempted murder charge.
Not even 4 years for almost killing someone in a rage using a vehicle.
The Pogo stick was ordered to be destroyed. Why not the car too which was the actual weapon?

they also are completely ignorant that Santander and Lime bikes etc have fleet numbers on them and can be reported, but by all accounts rarely are.
