Sort out continues, @davegotsu.bsky.social has sorted out storage in the shed. I have pulled together various things that needed repairing, my bag of scrap fabric and some sewing stuff and put them in the spare drawer from last month's clothes sort out.

I'm so proud of Kid today. He'd been asking to sort out his dinosaur box (not pictured) and did it so quickly we moved on and cleared his overstuffed shelves. I didn't have to do much myself, just supervised. There's a load of stuff we can donate to local charity shops in good time before Christmas.

Went to this event, and held this banner on a march through town. My fingers are now blue from holding the top of the banner. Was a good time, spoke to various people and bought an interesting book.

Just listened to @planetoffinks.bsky.social's The Best Worst ep about Friends, which made me go relisten to @gralefrit.bsky.social's Comfort Blanket double ep about Friends. I watched it so much as a teen, we had it all on VHS. I think Kid is still a bit young for it, but maybe in a year or so.

They didn't want my blood, but they probably want yours! I went to give blood today, but due to a v minor medical issue they couldn't take it. Yet they told me they do need donors. As I couldn't help by giving, instead, I thought i'd publicise this... www.blood.co.uk

Things are a bit tiring now, there's been some extra stuff going on at work that I'm overseeing. Plus Dave's got some stuff he's dealing with. Nothing terrible, especially in the scheme of things, but just a few different complicating factors. We will carry on but maybe try to focus on rest a bit.

Heads up: the first Discworld book, The Color of Magic, is on US ebook sale for $2 right now. I am *not* getting any copies; this book is the reason I stayed away from DW until Small Gods came out. Other people feel differently, and it is, after all, a Terry Pratchett book.

This is a small snow plow for sidewalks

If your city plows the roads but leaves sidewalks up to property owners, your city hates pedestrians.

Kid's birthday isn't far from Christmas and so we kinda have to have a clear out in advance of the flood of stuff. This year he's agreed to a dinosaur sort out, and we'll go through his toy shelves again.
Love being reminded to do this every year. It's a win/win all round

I was in the Brit Sesame Street generation, when everyone knew who Snuffy was and Kermit was a recurring guest star. Annoyed my kid missed out (Furchester Hotel is ok), but I shall tell my brother so my niece can watch it

I worked harder on this book than any before it. My ex-publisher then failed to pay me what they owed me for it & did their best to ruin its chances of survival. That robbed me of a year of my life & ruined my health.

After all that, to see reviews like this one brings me close to tears too.
Bloody hell! It’s been a long time since a book has brought me to tears. @dj-acid-reflux.bsky.social Thank you so very much for writing Everything Will Swallow You. Book of the year. #BookSky #TheStorygraph
