I cannot explain to people not in Mpls what this feels like. My family is visibly queer, brown, & disabled and we are afraid to leave our home. Grocery shopping is going to be a planned endeavor that involves careful timing & a strategically picked suburb. My metamour is dying her hair un-vivid.

We're going to start seeing all the rhetoric around peaceful protest as we're facing our neighbors being abducted, shot in the face with pepper spray, hands broken, and killed in front of their wives.

Not an exaggeration at all to say that the feeling in Minneapolis is that the entire metro area is being treated as occupied territory by federal agents. Impossible to overstate how overwhelmingly people here do not like it. This does not feel sustainable.

I have a disabled friend here in Minneapolis I haven't heard from since before yesterday's murder and we can't get a wellness check because the goddamn cops are out on horses and ICE is throwing tear gas.

Already in so much pain from leaving the house last night for peaceful vigil. Don't know how to fight Nazis with a body that's not working. Every day I wonder if killing myself will make me less of a hazard for loved ones trying to fight, live, and/or escape. Not sure how to live thru this.
