My contribution to the elite boomer illiteracy discourse is that being in rooms with the ultra-wealthy & ultra-powerful should change or confirm what reporters know. What I mean is that being around the mega-rich should destroy illusions that they're more interesting or smarter than working folks.
Seen a few of the epstein emails now, all with different people and it's not the main issue here but is everyone illiterate

And again I say it: stop loving politicians and celebrities and Supreme Court justices and start loving your actual values. And if the ppl you revere don’t share those values? Then maybe, baby, they aren’t worthy of your reverence

this but for mask blocs. I'll keep repeating it: mutual aid groups can purchase N95s as low as 5-10¢ per mask when bulk buying!

I know giving $25 doesn't feel impactful as sacks of supplies, but anyone sourcing & distributing huge quantities — food, PPE, etc — should always explain why cash is king
spoke with the executive director of my local food bank today and got this really incredible line: "if you donate 1 can of green beans, we can give away 1 can of green beans. but if you donate a dollar, we can give away 6 cans of green beans"

I waited a day to say this bc I respected everyone's right to vent some anger, but *remember to focus on what you can do*. Whether it's defending your community, taking action around what you've been venting about, whatever — but don't let all of your energy get captured in the social media space.

What we are seeing is a replay of the surrender on Covid protections because it was going to impact the wealth class in a way that would make it harder to accrue wealth without consequences.

Liberals already made the choice to kill millions to maintain the wealth class status quo.
Maybe important to note it was the disruption in air travel that Democrats couldn't stand and not, you know, 40+ million people not knowing where their next meal was coming from.

Shutting down the government is a big deal. People have been hurt in big ways as a result of the decision. To have that suffering be for nothing—to re-open the government without actually having protected people’s health insurance and economic well-being—is unconscionable.

Once again I am begging everyone to stop the "wine moms" commentary (I am NOT saying the OP did this, but it's happening in quotes). Ask yourself why you need to give these protestors such an irrelevant and disrespectful social media tag. Then get out to a protest yourself.
This morning, in Broadview, 14 suburban women were arrested during an act of civil disobedience calling for an end to ICE/CBP’s kidnappings throughout the Chicago area.

“We want to encourage other people who feel strongly about ICE’s actions to step off the sidelines and take our cities back.”
