1/ Spoiled votes in any election are counted but only overall, they don't have one pile for 'We love Maria Steen' and another for 'Eff you Fianna Fail' like. So any spoiled vote including blank ones, or ones where someone puts an X in all three boxes are all put in the same pile and counted up.
