If your "influencer" or "creator" act is firing a gun into the air, don't act surprised or claim innocence when you kill someone. Same thing with driving while filming content.

This kind of reasoning drives me nuts. No, the driver did not set out to kill anyone with her car that night, but she did do something known to be incredibly dangerous with consequences anyone could have expected. Obviously she didn't intend to harm another person. But she also didn't intend not to.

HAPPY CHRISTMAS!!

Now we need to see full steam ahead from the government in terms of procurement and approval processes. We've never been closer than we are now.

"There's certainly in excess of 175,000 fixed-charge notices that have been issued for speeding so far this year.

And again, that's not something that people talk about too much."
A motorist travelling at 119km/h in a 50km/h zone in Dublin is among 150 drivers detected speeding so far today as part of a garda speed enforcement operation

#SlowDownDay proves that enforcement works.

Unfortunately @garda.ie uses the operational outcome pretty much every time to make the clearly indefensible claim that ~99% compliance is an unsurprising result.

Highly misleading. Widespread non-compliance is the actual norm.

The car may have been an EV. Serious acceleration in any case.

Unfortunately, 20 years later, for too many bus services in Ireland "real time information" is mere placebo.
The simple pleasure of watching someone arrive at a bus stop just a minute before the bus comes. Real time information is only about 20 years old and we old folks remember how it changed everything. (And bravo to Portland's @trimet.org for being one of the early pioneers.)

The otterbox (defender )case on my phone disintegrated (the plether?) yesterday, currently using sans protection

The fear is real

The last time I had a less robust case it fell out of my hand at an angle and the screen hit the kerb of a footpath and necessitated a screen replacement.

Pray for me

Needless to say "National Slow Down Day" didn't extend to the footpaths around the courthouse. That's covered by the annual "National Make Way Day" and we can only focus on one thing at any one time. #Speirgorm

I see Ireland is still very much at the asking drivers nicely not to kill people stage.

The optimism and misplaced faith is almost quaint.

Every time the gardai do this "one day of enforcing speeding laws" thing, they catch loads of dangerous drivers.
Which invites an obvious question.
