The Straight Road cycle lane is awful and leaves people stranded while trying to cross a busy road.

Meanwhile, the same road (N22) has light segregation, an inner kerb, and a toucan x'ing a few km away.

Please sign this petition to call for safer cycling to Bcollig.

Cork is a leafy city (in parts), but so are most other European cities north of the Alps.

Bike lane, Greenway, and footpath sweeping in Oct/Nov/Dec should be better than ↙️, ideally like the ↘️ photos from 🇫🇷 last week.

If we're going down a "no signage" policy, people are going to expect that the marathon signs from last year and the bus connects opposition signs in Ballincollig are going to come down also.

CI membership is now open for 2026. Even if you just commute by bike, it's well worth taking out

Strong voice on safety issues (see below), third party insurance, and lots of other benefits

Straight talking — and a shocking response from the Minister — at today's Love 30 demonstration at Leinster House.

Same message from councillors, regardless of party — from Cork, Dublin, Galway and Sligo — make 30km/h the default, and we'll apply special limits to the exceptions in urban areas.

Ciaran Ferrie's piece in @irishexaminer.bsky.social nails the Govts capitulation on the Speed Limit Review. Identifying the urban roads that should be 50km (arterial) and 30km (everywhere else) is a relatively simple technical exercise with a small bit of guidance. Absolute cowardice.
