this strikes me as a really good framing - @elliemaeohagan.bsky.social is this one you considered in your work on this stuff?
We need to frame this as “Billionaires need to *take less* - framing it as they’re going to “pay more” implies that they’ve somehow ‘earned’ their billions - “taking less” (including taking less tax breaks) so that there’s more to go around for everyone else is grounded in equity narratives.
The Spectator are confused.

I always thought that eventually one day I would write a book or two, but if you had told undergraduate me that my first book would be about value and be published in a series called "New Directions in Modern Economics" I would have been very skeptical indeed. Anyway, pretty, isn't it?
