No way I’m sharing Stock’s UnHerd article. But I am going to point to this bit which amply demonstrates the anti-trans=>anti-women’s rights pipeline. “Abortions should only be done for a highly restricted set of reasons. They should not be just nodded through for any reason a pregnant woman likes.”

This government has not taken a single meaningful step to tackle the causes of the horrendous inefficiencies in the criminal justice system, instead rushing to dismantle trial by jury.

Legal professionals have offered numerous alternatives to address the backlog.

Ministers are not listening.

Ok, let's roll with the mad conceit: dogs have rationality and agency. What then?

What if they have to stay in university cities for their careers and relationships? What if they've convinced themselves that the punishing work schedule isn't that bad? What then The Times & Sunday Times, what then?

Oh this is goooood. Reading it I realised what made me stop using fashweb was actually the Save the Roseburn path campaign. I'd curated my feed there quite well, so it was ok 🤷 but when I got pile-ons for suggesting trams might be a good thing, and maybe the council were consulting in good faith...

I was honoured to unveil a plaque for Sam Green, the first openly gay politician to be elected in the UK.

He did so much for his community and his courage and dedication remind us to keep championing equality, respect and the rights of everybody.

Sam Green was the first openly gay politician ever elected in the UK – and possibly the world.

It’s the exclusive everyone wanted, the story that will win next year’s Pulitzer…

I can reveal London’s giant AI generated Christmas artwork, the subject of much online mockery, is being torn down - and I honestly *genuinely* think you’ll never guess why. www.londoncentric.media/p/ai-artwork...

The bizarre story of why a much-talked-about creation is being torn down. Plus: Docklands Light Railway extension, giant laser stalks the night sky, and more tales of Android phone theft rejection.

Funnily enough I just got called Sir by the train conductor because I have short hair and was wearing a hat… so what I’m saying is that I’m sure this will all work out great.
The core aim of the Terf movement - a tiny number of newspaper columnists who melted the brains of middle aged reactionaries - was always to encourage maximum public hostility against transgender people, and give them the impunity to act upon it.

I have permanent anxiety dreams that I have forgotten to turn up for one of my own lecture
Nightmare. Been battling a sense of dreadful unease for the last hour. Turns out I had scheduled a panel for today that I had put in as happening next week (now in a cab to it), which is both embarrassing but also a fascinating insight into how unhelpful the brain can be.

Barbara was Transport Minister for three years yet she was able to introduce the Breathalyzer, a proper integrated transport strategy & more!

This was done despite fierce opposition.

The UK isn’t a “soft touch” on asylum.

UK asylum seeker benefits are similar to European neighbours

No right to work before 12 months (it’s 6 months in France, Spain, Belgium, Netherlands)

UK settlement after 5 years (it’s 3 or 4 in Germany)

Let’s cut out the alarmist rhetoric.
