The part in my book where French officers decided their programs worked despite all evidence to the contrary and it was actually just their subordinates' fault if thing didn't turn out right really only started to make sense to me when I began working more closely with the university administration

Maybe none of us have reached adulthood
Maybe the term 'adulthood' is, in fact, not incredibly useful if we keep redefining it to mean a shorter & shorter section of our lifespans (without even getting into the problems with assuming changes in the brain map onto social roles...) www.theguardian.com/science/2025... #histchild #skystorians
Brain has five ‘eras’, scientists say – with adult mode not starting until early 30s
Study suggests brain development has four pivotal ‘turning points’ at around the ages of nine, 32, 66 and 83

dear reader, it wasn't Taylorism.
“Capitalism forces you to wake up at 7am against your body’s natural rhythms” no that’s Taylorism and if you don’t like living in a society that coordinates effort to ensure a better outcome for all then I don’t think you’ll love the alternatives

Is there anywhere Rose engages with for lack of a better term the NLR's approach to Marxism in the mid-70s onwards or what Anderson called Marxism as Critical Theory?
