All day, many of you have been asking for a Cheney obituary from me. Get ready:
His Works Completed, Dick Cheney, Mass Murderer of Iraqis and American Democracy, Dies
As much as the Trumpists claim to disavow the War on Terror, they walk a path paved by the most powerful vice president in U.S. history.

Comey’s motion to dismiss against the US government. Kind of a slam dunk, imo

Uncanny X-men #303 was one of the first comic books I read that actually made me feel like the medium was a “serious” way to tell stories. It’s emotional and engaging and just so good. Essential for X-men and comics fans alike.

The mark of a good editor is being able to make the work better while retaining the essence of the author’s voice.

Guess what? If your voice is full of slop, it’s not a voice, it’s a convenience store vending machine going out of order.

Get an editor. Take their advice. Be better.
An actual hot take: Too many authors are afraid of editors watering down their voice or whatever and not afraid enough of editors letting you put any old slop on the page.

Meanwhile, David Ellison's news philosophy is showing major cracks under scrutiny.

Metal is about feeling it in your gut. Metal is about leaning on your friends because you're drunk or laughing too hard. Metal is stupid. Metal is joyous. Metal is dressing up and playing pretend. Metal is about knowing your silly ideas matter.

Ozzy is one of like 3 people in Decline of Western Civilization Part 2 that comes off as a decent human being and I always love the scene where Penelope Spheeris interviews him making breakfast while he explains the ups and downs of the business.
