I am *so* excited to announce that I will be writing my first book! It’s about the woman who took on some of the most powerful men in sports, pushed to get women’s athletics into the modern Olympics, and whose efforts helped change how the world views who gets to be an athlete.
Did my best to summarize everything that came out today about Kansas City's Rashee Rice. His ex-girlfriend published a lengthy post on Instagram yesterday, describing physical abuse.

Most importantly, we adopted two senior cats last year from a shelter. So let's close out with a photo of Chuck B. Whiskers Esq. and Princess Purrle, paralegal, judging me for writing this thread when I could have been petting them:

I'm also very proud of Defector Media filing it's first ever motion to intervene in court to make public records actually public in the Tyreek Hill case. Here's why we did it:

Adding myself to the chorus of people saying this by @msjpauly.bsky.social is excellent!

Great reporting and expertly written.
I’ve spent a lot of the last three years investigating the rise of anti-trans politics. Often, it came back to the controversy over trans women athletes.

So I teamed up with @pablo.show to look into the leading figure on the issue: Riley Gaines.

The semi-annual report and its exhibits give us a teensy bit of transparency into the NWSL’s process.

Records show they got 43 complaints last year, five by July 31 of this year.
