Pinned
Over on the bad place, I started a pinned thread inspired by hitting my 65K issue milestone in my comics collection. Now at 85K, I've decided to rescue that thread and bring it over here.

Here are some highlights of my collection:
I love the concept of MeTV Toons. I think it could be a nostalgia filler.

Unfortunately, nothing I want to see is on during times I can watch, and when I do get to watch on weekends I end up seeing the same batch of episodes over and over since the shows play all week long.

Good thing for DVDs!

Megyn Kelly has no problem with 15-year-olds being sexed up. It only counts as pedophilia to her if they're YOUNGER.

Again: conservatism is a mental disorder at this point.
Megyn Kelly doesn't see Epstein as a pedophile, just a diet pedophile

There's no problem Vance won't blame on immigrants, even if he has to invent the problem himself.

A few weeks ago he was insisting immigrants lived in cramped squalor and their (white) neighbors had a right to be upset about that.

Now they're so rich they're snatching up all the good houses? OK.
JD Vance: "A lot of young people are saying housing is way too expensive. Why is that? Because we flooded the country with 30 million illegal immigrants who were taking houses that ought by right go to American citizens."

According to CLZ based on what I've entered so far, the most issues I have for a series is Uncanny X-Men vol. 1 (which tracks). Surprisingly, my #2 is Action Comics vol. 1, despite the fact I'm a bigger Batman fan (with his vol. 1 at #3).

This isn't multiple choice. All of these are true and anyone with object permanence has known it for years.
Best case: The President of the United States knew about a pedophilia ring and did nothing to stop it.

Medium case: He also used his office to protect the perpetrators.

Worst case: Because he was one of the perpetrators.

1) The boy seems to have faced no such punishment, which is a travesty of justice.

2) If the father was any real kind of one, he would've hit the school executive that decided SHE was the one that needed expulsion.

3) Some better start checking your kids and stop expecting schools to do it.

A teenager with a homeless parent? What? The fuck? Did she have a home and not allow her parent to live in it? Ended up having sex with? What? Yeah clearly you guys been caping for pedos long enough and you understand the assignment here
A teenager in Florida with a homeless parent wanted money for braces and ended up having sex for money with powerful men, setting off a chain of events that would have a dramatic impact on her life and help upend the political career of Representative Matt Gaetz. nyti.ms/49PSkL9

agreed. it's "the guy who makes you uncomfortable for reasons you won't articulate isn't the future. this guy who looks and talks like you is."
You have to understand what pieces like this from the NYT are and are not.

They are not an honest assessment of the state of politics today.

They are a negotiation tactic—an effort by a calcified, right-leaning legacy institution to steer the discourse in a direction more palatable to elites.
