In this season of uncertainty and despair, the New York Times lifts us up with a bad review of one of the few American Institutions Donald Trump hasn't slapped his name on (yet).
This year, “Christmas Spectacular Starring the Radio City Rockettes” pays homage to the legacy of the group, but its future seems to be more about sisterhood than dancing, our critic writes.

Watched Part 1 of 5 the bootlegged 60 Minutes' CECOT story and now I have to go watch puppies on YouTube for at least the next hour before I can handle Parts 2-5.

If he's culpable, feed him to the wolves along with all the other pedophiles. I got no problem with that.
So there's something happening (primarily on Twitter): right-wing commentators/influencers are straight up inventing a reality where "the left" has been completely owned by the fact that Bill Clinton is in the Epstein photos.

Now seems like a swell time to point out that Frontline just released this excellent 11-minute mini-documentary about what happened inside CECOT.

It's the right thing to do... and grotesque in the extreme that it has to be done at all.
Brown University has canceled all remaining classes, exams, papers and projects for the rest of the fall semester, as it mourns two students who were killed in a campus shooting on Saturday, school officials said.

That's because it's being built where the east wing of the white house used to be. Sadly, what Biden's entire presidency will be boiled down to is the catastrophic vanity of a second run for president. And Trump 2 will be his lasting monument.

Every day, in every way, we need to make sure people know that Jacob Frey is responsible for the repugnant failure in our duty of care to the unhoused.
Mayor Frey says he is already planning to veto this. A bare minimum policy.

This is in addition to his refusal to implement emergency housing vouchers & the expansion of stable homes stable schools earlier this year.

There’s no plan and no will to implement solutions that are funded.
The Minneapolis City Council approved new homeless encampment policies that will provide toilets, collect trash and allow more time before forcing out inhabitants, among other changes.

We need to call them what they are: private mercenaries.
Six months after ICE apprehended 47 people, including nine kids, in Hays County, Tex., County Judge Ruben Becerra said DHS has ignored his attempts to get answers:

“We’re not told why they took them, and we’re not told where they took them. By definition, that’s a kidnapping.”

On Tuesday, Pritzker signed a bill that makes it easier for Illinois residents to sue federal immigration agents for up to $10,000 if they believe their rights have been violated, and also restricts those agents from enforcement outside courthouses.

3 blocks from my house, 10 am ICE blocked traffic at 38th and Hiawatha, abducted someone out of their car and left the vehicle in the turn lane. Now we have a CBP helicopter circling overhead.

He can keep his promises first, like ending homelessness, then ask for a raise.
$140K is a lot of money and if Jacob Frey wanted a higher paying job he could have not run for reelection and instead gone to work at a law firm or as a lobbyist. We had 3 other great candidates who would have gladly taken $140K to be mayor.

ICE stormed a residence hall at Augsburg University, detained an undergrad, and aimed rifles at students and staff then admitted they had no warrant to be on campus.

This is state violence. This is terror. And this is exactly what Trump’s America unleashes on our communities.
