As of this morning, Starbucks workers across the country are officially ON STRIKE. And we're prepared for this to become the biggest and longest ULP strike in Starbucks history.

Say #NoContractNoCoffee with us: DON'T BUY STARBUCKS for the duration of our open-ended ULP strike! $SBUX

The idea that sexual abuse is part of “private” life instead of a public crisis has done incalculable damage. Anti-rape activists have to fight to even make it possible to expose sexual abuse as a wrongdoing in public without being silenced and undermined. That fight is far from won

this analysis is strange in that it doesnt answer the fundamental question about Minneapolis voters - if Frey's multiple lies and polarizing ways were truly against their values and they were tired of it, why did they not choose Davis? www.startribune.com/jacob-frey-r...
Roper: Jacob Frey can thank the far left for handing him another term
Frey was a vulnerable incumbent. But progressives banked on the wrong guy to beat him.

It will take years of mine-cleaning in East Isles, the DMZ between Kenwood & the Wedge.
This was such a community effort, and it makes me really happy to know I was supported by so many people. Here is a “heat map” of where my first place votes came from. I’ll let the people like @wedge.live and @taylordahlin.com and @dansuitor.bsky.social do analysis.

Jacob Frey voters should be asked one abiding honest question, what thing would you hold him accountable for?

If George Floyd's life and death kinda sorta mattered, Amir Locke's life sure the fuck did not matter to the voters of this city. That is abysmal when you think of it.

I don’t want to memory-hole Betsy Hodges’ 2013 win. It definitely wasn’t DSA but it was last successful center-left alliance. Folks should re-read this September Racket piece, where she describes the alliance but — I know this will chafe — the need to appeal to SW. racketmn.com/minneapolis-...

This year’s Ward 10 was maybe the most Yard Signs Don’t Vote election I’ve ever seen
Does money win elections? Not in Ward 10. Chughtai won at a cost of $9.75 per vote.

Meanwhile Millard spent just over $42 per vote to lose heartily. (That’s looking like more per vote than Cuomo, who’s probably under $40!)

We love Jason Garcia, but Colby appeared to be using the "there was only one set of footprints because Elizabeth Shaffer was carrying my lifeless body the whole time" strategy.
even after not being able to campaign the last couple months up against a candidate endorsed by elizabeth shaffer and michael rainville. this is is hugely impressive. jono cowgill, the last progressive to hold the seat before elizabeth shaffer, doubted they could pull it off against those forces
On the bright side: JASON GARCIA IS GONNA WIN DISTRICT 4 PARK BOARD.

Until recently, the pace was ahead of 2021, a record year. Monday is the last day to vote early.
