That’s a 13% drop since 2021. Lots going on in the world that made these elections feel kind of irrelevant, but the changes by the UCP had to have had a negative effect on voter turnout.
Elections Calgary is reporting unofficial election day turnout is 202,424. Combined with advance vote, unofficial turnout is 33.36%. If that holds, it will be the lowest municipal voter turnout in Calgary since the 2007 election.
