I am far from being alone using transit in the off peak. Lots of people with me on buses & trains as I navigate multiple modes to go to appointments on a day off mid-week, daytime. 🚉🚌🚏

This year has been really challenging so I'm focusing on finding daily gratitude moments. Today is starting off with that sweet feeling of arriving on time for the bus (& it's a sunny day). 🙌

Last week we got more info on what the new high-floor LRT vehicles will look like!

When these 32 new LRVs arrive, Edmonton will finally retire its Siemens U2 fleet, which have been in service since the system opened in the 70s!

Happily distracted by the Olympics for the next couple of weeks. Go Team Canada! 🇨🇦

Forgot my Arc card this morning! Grateful for tap-to-pay; it was easy to pay my fare with my credit card. I also got asked for proof of payment by a TPO while riding the train! 🤓

Watching curling, while also celebrating the end of the 100 days of January. 🙌

Did you know that there is a professional level bike mechanic school in Edmonton? Among the classes available, Velo West offers a hands-on 4 week intensive course at Pedego Edmonton for mechanics who aspire to build expertise and pursue a career in modern bike mechanics. #yegbike

This.
Hot take but transit vehicles should not have cloth seats.

The LRT maintenance team set up the locomotive used for maintenance activities as a holiday train & it was heartwarming to see them out with it tonight.

My holiday plans 😍. Welcome to the fam, Winston.
December 19, 2025 at 2:50 AM
It might be extra snowy tomorrow across the region. Please be patient with transit operators, they are trying to operate their buses & trains as safely as possible. It will take more time to get to/from destinations, plan for it. Also, remember to thank them! ♥️ #yeg

That was the snowiest, craziest trip to the airport I've ever done. Picking up my dad & of course the flight from Montreal is delayed. I'm going to be a wee bit tired at work in the a.m. 🥱

To all who celebrate, Happy Hannukah! Chag Sameach. 🕎

Excited for this! It is 100% driven by our employees. Our locomotive is super cool & I look forward to seeing it (and donating). Visit this link to learn more about the ETS holiday train: www.edmonton.ca/ets/transit-... #yeg

Really happy that Arc tap to pay has launched across the region. Use digital or physical debit or credit to pay for #transit. Same per trip rate applies & use the same card each time to access fare gaps. No need to register your card to your account. It's a simplified way to pay your fare. #yeg

Had a chance to tour the new Coronation Rec Centre today, ahead of a late Jan opening. It's amazing! Love that it's close to Westmount Transit Centre, there are lots of transit options to get there. 😍

Council finalized the fall budget adjustments & funded a few important transit items, investing in core service levels, cleaning & state of good repair. They also funded our ready-to-go projects for the baseline stream of the Canada Public Transit Fund, so the city's contribution is committed. 🎉

Colleen Jones asked me to interview her a couple of months ago during a chemotherapy appointment.

She told me to write one heck of a story. I hope I did her proud.

About always believing something wonderful is about to happen.

So sorry to hear of Colleen's passing. She is a legend and was such a positive, delightful person. She was a volunteer during my time working with the 2011 Canada Games. May she rest in peace. www.cbc.ca/news/canada/...

Can I read Hamnet in time before being drawn in to see the movie? 🤞I have about 30 TBR fiction books for this winter & decided today is the perfect weather for reading.
