Israel tells people it's safe to go and get aid from a site Israel itself set up.

Then, they kill 31 people and injure 170 who are traveling to that site to get some food.

Starve people, tease them with scraps of food, then kill some along the way. It's terrorism.

Pretty wild to make your entire case about how immigrants are lawless freeloaders, but having to go to their workplaces and court hearings to arrest them.

Reminder that words matter. You can’t “deport” a US citizen. You might be kidnapping, disappearing, exiling, expelling, illegally removing, etc., but you’re not “deporting” a US citizen.

This, to me, is the most obvious messaging opportunity *ever* for Democrats. Chuck Schumer should be on the ground in Arkansas within 24 hours and Democrats in both houses of Congress should be filing measures to provide federal funds to assist in recovery efforts. Force Republicans to say no.

ask yourself: do you think it's even possible for dems to retake power through normal political channels and then continue to wield federal institutions as they typically have and enjoy a Biden-style 4 years? if the answer is "no that is not possible" then the crisis is already over
framing it as a ongoing crisis still allows for the crisis to be resolved and our institutions saved. if the crisis is behind us and the constitutional order is collapsing, otoh, that sort of demands we focus on building something new.

NEW: In a landmark ruling, Michigan's supreme court has struck down mandatory life without parole sentences for youth up to age 21.

What this means: Nearly 600 Michiganders who expected to die in prison will now get a shot at a different outcome.

I took a few days to write about what's next:

The claim comes from neo-Nazis on X who say the tattoos cover up “MS-13.”
