Two trials will be repeated endlessly despite always producing the same results:

1) Does UBI work? (yes)
2) Does AI improve productivity? (no)

Think of the states with nasty regressive policies as abusive households. There are people that are caught up in horrible situations that didn’t ask for them, and wanting them to go down with their abusers is cruel.
Human beings live in Florida, so please knock it off with the “just let Floridians die” shit. We have to figure out a way to get us all through this nightmare.

Texas Republicans are holding a Black woman, a Democratic state rep, hostage in the legislative chamber. They have locked the doors and have banned her from leaving.
“‘I refuse to sign away my dignity as a duly elected representative just so Republicans can control my movements and monitor me with police escorts,’ Collier said in a statement that called her a ‘political prisoner’ for refusing Republican ‘surveillance protocol.’” www.nbcnews.com/news/amp/rcn...

The White House’s official X account has a long thread in which they’ve posted pictures of people arrested during the feds’ occupation of the city. Every single person in the thread is a person of color.

HUGE. The first major court victory involving conditions of confinement at ICE field offices. The judge bars detention in any cell which isn't:

- Restricted by capacity
- Has mats for people to sleep on overnight
- Is cleaned 3 times a day
- Provides hygiene supplies
- Offers free legal calls
Judge Lewis Kaplan has GRANTED a motion for a TRO sought by lawyers for detainees at 26 Federal Plaza. It requires DHS to provide migrants a clean and safe place to sleep, prescription medication, nutritious meals, access to counsel, & other necessities storage.courtlistener.com/recap/gov.us...

The Evidence Based parenting and resource groups are removing US government sites from lists of trusted sources.

This is what we have become.

I got pulled to the side at the end of one year in high school to be told that I was the only student who “passed” the AP History exam IN THE COUNTY….

And I see the evidence of that daily.

There’s been a lot of racist commentary about what is and isn’t civilized but letting anyone die because they can’t afford healthcare in the richest country in the world is actually very uncivilized and downright barbaric.

The White House has ordered the US Dept. of Justice to prioritize denaturalization: voiding the citizenship of US citizens.

Who will it denaturalize? "Any" case that it "determines to be sufficiently important".

Point 10 leaves the criteria opaque and arbitrary.

I feel like I'm losing my mind. Here is the transcript of what Zohran Mamdani actually said about the phrase "globalize the intifada." This is his "refusal to disavow it." This is what has people terrified. Just fucking read it.

So that means the universal injunction against the SAVE program was an overreach and the program should be implemented now, logically, so someone needs to get a lawsuit ready to commit some legal terrorism against conservative courts who abused this previously.

Seriously people this is your regular reminder to never propagate mint in an uncontrolled environment and that spearmint and peppermint are not interchangeable.
Useful for finding the best spellcasting apps, risky for subbing potion ingredients, wildly heated over the summoning of familiars, hexxit dot com is THE forum for witches. And the discourse is endless. What's the most unexpected hill you've defended on the site?

Gold is so medieval, but paper bills just don't have the right scale-feel. Besides, the hoarding of money is too capitalist and have you SEEN the economy these days? But a dragon's gotta sleep somewhere. What do you use to build a hoard you can snooze on?
