This ain’t about abortion, it’s about punishing folks who can’t afford private care and women who dare to demand control over their own bodies.

Shutting down clinics means more undiagnosed cancer, more untreated STIs, and more folks left out here with nowhere to turn.

Let’s all get excited for the Republican party’s Big, Beautiful Tax Hike on people who work for a living. Remember, it’s patriotic to give your earnings to the wealthy! apnews.com/article/trum...

You’re not wrong. But it is a choice to enforce that which is easy to measure, rather than what is a danger. The danger is distracted, impaired, or reckless driving. Speed is just a subset.

If we put governors on cars, can we also _please_ mandate blocking messaging apps while in moving cars?
If someone gets cited for driving >100mph, why *wouldn't* you want tech to prevent them from doing it again?

That's the logic behind this new batch of state bills about Intelligent Speed Assist. It makes total sense.
Some good news in transportation policy (for a change):

From Virginia to California, states are ready to use Intelligent Speed Assist to prevent habitually reckless drivers from super-speeding.

Both Rs and Ds are supportive.

ICE has again deported a US citizen child with cancer. No medical provisions were made, a violation of ICE policy.

This is systemic cruelty backed by a psychopath in chief.

Call me crazy but I don't think it should cost $150,000 to $200,000 walk again, especially if there's only a 50/50 chance it will work.

But imagine if I lived in a place where they invested in healthcare. Logically they'd get 25-30 more years of work out of me. It would pay for itself 20x over.

Fourth Circuit panel, including conservative icon J. Harvie Wilkinson, unanimous in rejecting Trump administration position in case of El Salvador abductee Abrego Garcia.
Judge Thacker (Obama), joined by Judge King (Clinton), wrote that first concurrence. Judge Wilkinson (Reagan), then, wrote his own concurrence.

Wilkinson: "It takes no small amount of imagination to understand that this is a path of perfect lawlessness, one that courts cannot condone."

The Senator from CT nails it: Trump's tariffs are "a means to compel loyalty from every business that will need to petition Trump for relief." Which is all of them.
Those trying to understand the tariffs as economic policy are dangerously naive.

No, the tariffs are a tool to collapse our democracy. A means to compel loyalty from every business that will need to petition Trump for relief.
