It's become clear that this administration is just a protracted war on anybody who's read a book without pictures in it. It's a miracle we're all still getting up and going to work every morning. The psychological drain is the point, and I'm increasingly grateful to the people who are still decent.

Finally got a chance to watch the @joshjohnsoncomedy.bsky.social routine about Trump and Epstein that came out a few days ago.

I am blown away that he managed to put together a full hour of stand-up about breaking news and it's somehow polished and funny as hell.

Give it a watch and share it.

Remember more than 80% of US federal career employees work outside of the Washington DC area. EPA is shutting down its scientific research division, which helps keep our air & water safe. It’s overwhelmingly staffed in Cincinnati, Ohio, with ~1000 employees there. The OH & KY Senators don’t care?

This is amazing. Yesterday Trump claimed he talked to his uncle about how brilliant the Unabomber was when the Unabomber was a student of his at MIT.

The Unabomber never went to MIT, he was identified in 1996, and his uncle died in 1985.
you genuinely have to admire his brain. getting hammered 24/7 on Epstein? better fabricate a personal link to the Unabomber, specifically mentioning one of the prestigious universities where Epstein peddled his influence

It is still mind boggling to me that in 2025, “That’s loser talk, I am focused on the future” is supposed to be an acceptable response by officials whose refusal to build an emergency warning system (or even send out a phone alarm) in a flood zone makes them, too, responsible for over 130 deaths.

I’ve said it before, but given his starting point, Trump could have played golf for four years, done nothing of consequence, and probably retired relatively popular. He decided economic suicide and a multipronged campaign of human rights abuses would be more fun.
The extent to which Trump inherited a strong economy and has gone and wrecked each individual strength of it in record time….
Great work, everyone

We're going to need Nuremberg trials when this is over, yes, and to send a significant number of people currently in the federal government to prison. But we're going to need an unwavering commitment to ostracizing the supporters of it, as well. Never accept them again in polite society.

I know that Medicare/ Medicaid is Democrats’ native language & what they’re happiest speaking but I’d love for SOME prominent person to try the line “they increased the debt limit by $5 trillion in order to triple size of ICE & make its detention center bigger than the whole federal prison system.”

If a sitting president can openly muse about arresting and disappearing someone who is likely to become mayor of the country's largest city, while also getting the funding for a massive secret police, it'd be hard to find sufficient evidence to qualify that country as a democracy.

1) I like the fascism

2) I'll acquiesce to the fascism (reasons for this one vary: cowardice, access, denial, misguidedly thinking that acquiescence is savvy, etc)

3) I oppose the fascism

The rest is details
