It would take a two-word amendment to 42 U.S.C. § 1983 to subject ICE agents and other federal law enforcement officers to the same liability for constitutional violations that local and state officers currently face.

I thought this was going someplace else, though I agree with it as well.
I think surges in doomerism are mostly caused by two things:
1) Change is scary; if we fight, things can and will be chaotic and it's hard to tell where we'll end up
2) Plants who want u to sit down & shut up

There should be public dialogue from Dem leaders about what the medium-long term political strategy against Trumpism is. They don't want impeachment (not enough votes) so what can a Dem congress do that's more effective? Is there a philosophy other than "Vote for us and hope something good happens?"

"She made him do it" strikes again. He's not concerned the murder will anger us; he's insisting that saying it was murder and the officer a murderer will anger them and then our fault if they lash out. "She made him do it" is the burdening of Democrats and the left for right-wing/Republican acts.
