it's hard to offer a more damning critique of bruce harrell than bruce harrell does himself in this passage

it can be true that rand paul is a piece of shit and also that marco rubio is, in this instance, an infinitely slimier and more worthless piece of shit
RAND PAUL: If a country bombed our air defense missiles, captured & removed our president, & blockaded our country, would that be considered an act of war?

RUBIO: We just don't believe this operation comes anywhere close to the constitutional definition

PAUL: Of course it would be an act of war!

amazon is an evil company and occasionally also very incompetent
Amazon exec accidentally sends layoff email a day early. Now people know there are layoffs but now need to wait until the official date to know if they were affected.

How stressful.
Amazon inadvertently announces cloud unit layoffs in email to employees
Amazon sent a notice out to staffers in an apparent error acknowledging "organizational changes" at the company.

rich mccormick strikes me as the kind of guy who would still be arguing that vietnam and china were allies in 1973
Rep. Rich McCormick on Minnesota: "You may have a small portion that try to politicize this and demonize those forces, just like we got demonized in Vietnam"

bob kettle makes seattle 5% less safe just by being here
At full council, the first commenter denounced Councilmember Bob Kettle's decision to allow the prosecutor to display unredacted, identifiable photos of raped and brutalized women and graphically describe their abuse, listing objects men penetrated them with and using terms like "cum dumpster."
The King County Prosecutor's Office is currently doing an exceptionally exploitative presentation about sex trafficking to the Seattle City Council that includes slides of identifiable bloodied, brutalized women and identifiable women who are nude or nearly nude.

a judge with balls would drag barnes in and make him answer for this practice in the courtroom
A judge just issued a partial (but significant) ruling against the Seattle Police Department in the Seattle Times' lawsuit challenging SPD's "grouping" policy, in which SPD refuses to work on more than one records request at a time, giving false "placeholder" dates for every subsequent request.

You have to read this. Firsthand affidavit from one of the women who was there and recording the video. She talks about how Alex Pretti was directing traffic when she arrived. She watched him be killed in front of her. She's afraid to go home, worried she'll be arrested.
