It feels like I've run out of things to say about the Democrats.

When we're almost a full year into this and they're still voting for Trump's nominees, I'm not sure how you can make the case that the party is salvageable.

Truly amazing that any time the democrats have to bite the bullet and do something that ruins countless lives, there's always *just* enough votes to get it done, but if there is a vote on something that would actually improve people's lives, they are always one vote short. Crazy how that happens.

just saying: it's possible that "I'm gonna say i'm standing up for healthcare and feeding the poor, ride a wave of furious mass mobilization to huge election wins, then cave for zero concessions and go on vacation" is the beginning of a world-historical masterstroke. but also possible that it isn't,

They caved in March so they could get a better deal now. They’re caving now so they can get a better deal in some indeterminate future. The better deal is always just beyond their reach, but continuing to cave will get them there. And if you don’t agree with that, you don’t understand Politics,

Since the Democrats worked extra hard to hide who actually supported this, I think the No Kings/Resistance position should be to primary every Democrat unless they publicly call for Schumer's ouster this week

Either they go into total rebellion mode, which they won't, or the people will

Senator Schumer has failed to lead this party in one of its most critical moments, and Americans will pay the price. It’s time for him to step down from leadership and make way for a new generation willing to fight for the people instead of the powerful.

Shohei Ohtani is so great you can’t even do sports debates about him. You say “I think he’s the greatest baseball player of all time” thinking people will jump down your throat and instead people are just like “yeah that sounds right”

The largest mass protests by number of participants in US history happened yesterday and the only mention on the front page of the NYT is Jamelle Bouie's opinion column: no diner-diving for sentiments of the unheard masses, no coverage of the Trump video, no sense for what it says about the moment.

If I had explain American history in one sentence, I could do worse than "John Brown was hung for treason, but Robert E. Lee was not."
John Brown’s raid on Harpers Ferry began on this day in 1859.

One of the major lessons of the last decade in American politics has been realizing how many voters on the fence will respond to the impression of strength and raw willpower. I can't think of a Democrat who's learned it.

No, no. I'm not saying that about Charlie Kirk. Charlie Kirk said that about George Floyd.

Just in case anyone's interested in what he thought was fair to say about someone who was killed on camera.
