The Epstein email drop reminds of the story that in 1990 Kyle McLachlan wouldn't do an arc where his character Dale Cooper gets involved with Audrey Horne, an 18yo high school senior. Sherilyn Fenn was 25, but it was still too much for him. None of these dudes can say it was just a different time

Todd Blanche would have had these emails before interviewing Maxwell. Why didn’t he question her directly about her exchanges? Why did he not follow up when she said things that were onviously a lie?? This shows that was a performance intended to dupe the public and benefit her (and Trump)

MAGA is corrupt oligarchy w/ a populist mask. It grew b/c Democrats were seen as elitists who think they know what the country needs better than the country does. I think Schumer et al are almost as afraid of a Mamdani or an AOC as they are of MAGA. The ignorant masses are the real problem for them

If the Dems blink after all of this, for a deal that all but ensures no ACA subsidies in 2026 anyway, then what was the purpose of letting the shutdown go for 40 days in the first place?

In hindsight, it was probably a bad idea for voters to put the full force of the US state apparatus and military in the hands of a guy who bragged that he could shoot someone on Fifth Avenue and not lose any support, and who was also granted immunity by the Supreme Court before taking office.

💯 Do it. Amend the US Constitution to have Congress selected by parliamentary type elections so that the Speaker of the House functions like a prime minister. House districts based on population such that party with majority chooses the Speaker.
