Europe is such a tough place to do business.

Here we see a French Court completely devaluing a previously valuable asset into which the Russian government invested millions.

I have a mad hope that Trump will find this really annoying and take it as a personal snub and lash out with a resumption and in fact expansion of US support for Ukraine.
🔺 Ukraine war latest: Kremlin suggests it has dismissed Trump’s envoy.

President Putin dampens hopes of a 30-day ceasefire in Ukraine, warning that Russia will not back a deal that allows Kyiv’s forces to rearm and regroup.

Trump cites dairy tariffs of 250% but doesn't mention they "only kick in after the US has hit a certain, Trump-negotiated quantity of zero-tariff sales to Canada."

"The US is not currently filling its zero-tariff sales quota in any category of dairy product, so the tariffs aren’t being applied."

We’re always talking about whether China might invade Taiwan someday, yet here’s the US planning an invasion of Panama out in the open.
EXCLUSIVE: The Trump White House has directed the U.S. military to draw up options for increasing the American troop presence in Panama to achieve President Trump’s goal of “reclaiming” the Panama Canal, officials say.

Not a big surprise, the UK and the EU don't have the same incentives here. UK is less affected, has less power to hurt US interests and still has reasonable hopes that it can avoid reciprocal tariffs.
The UK is not emulating the EU in retaliating against the US. This means that tariff differentials on the products affected will widen significantly.

That could affect trade flows, and have big implications for Northern Ireland in particular.

We are the number one export market for Kentucky spirits. On Tuesday, all American booze is being pulled off the shelves.
We will drink Canadian whiskey.
