The entire business model of R1 public universities rests on 4 revenue sources:

1. Federal grants
2. Private gifts/endowments
3. Tuition (esp. from foreign students)
4. State $

For decades, 📈 in 1-3 offset a secular 📉 in 4. Now, 1 & 3 are being decimated & 4 ain't coming back. The math is clear.

We distributed notecards so people could tell us about the toll in their own words.

Your reaction to Trump or someone doing something bad shouldn't be to suggest they have an intellectual disability. That just equates immorality with disability and that's a big ableism that gets us nowhere.

If people find this Wired and Rolling Stone reporting valuable, then please, as I have done, subscribe to at least one of them, because that will allow them to do even more of this, and to pay their reporters who “pound the pavement” to bring in the stories.

A lot of people's presidential war powers arguments appear to be based on personal views about the underlying conflict (Israel vs. Iran) as opposed to the Constitution. How many people who support military action now would do so if Trump were to attack China, Russia or some other country?

I was briefed on the intelligence last week.

Iran posed no imminent threat of attack to the United States. Iran was not close to building a deliverable nuclear weapon. The negotiations Israel scuttled with their strikes held the potential for success.
