People with disabilities/chronic illness need accommodations to work that are almost never offered by employers to the full, including working under 50%, they have often dynamic health issues that can come out of nowhere, and need jobs with a lot of flexibility in terms of output and hours worked.

If you're hosting an event and there's no one in attendance wearing a mask, your first thought shouldn't be "no one's masking anymore." The reality is you've decided not to make the space safe enough. Many people still want to avoid infection and your event isn't worth the risk.

Since I’ve already finished the reconstructions of the thyreophorans from the Iberian Peninsula, I’m sharing here a couple of poster-style visualizations showing the different genera and the sites where they can be found

Let’s start with the different genera, arranged by clade and size

So last year I found out I had a pretty bad iron deficiency and like I thought how bad could it be. So the normal amount should be like minimum 50 to 150 mcg.

Mine was 12 😭 no wonder I was tired and weak for so much of my life lol

A lot of dinosaur tracks are technically undertracks, from layers beneath where the foot met the sediment and smushed it. When we get the preserved track surface, or close to it, we get stuff like delicate little foot scales. How pretty is this?
Titanosaur-sum discovery! Well-preserved tracks of Nemegt sauropods from S Mongolia have revealed novel insights into soft tissue anatomy & function, including scales that may have helped with scratch digging on sandy surfaces! 🧪🌍🦕

these, however, do not hold a candle to the time a family friend, EXTREMELY hung over when the Jehovah's Witnesses knocked on the door early on a weekend morning, opened the door naked, saw who it was, moaned, "No...no...oh, *fuck*, no..." & closed the door again.

The JWs never came back. Ever. :))

One thing I'll say about being so tired that I have no fucks left to give: door to door solicitors don't know how to deal with someone who could not give less of a fuck about the social contract and will just keep saying "nope, not interested, go away" before closing the door mid-sentence.

Today I reviewed a paper for an academic journal. Please stop using “health literacy” as an excuse for why people don’t take up an intervention. It isn’t that they “don’t know better”, it’s that they have their reasons that are valid and it’s your job to figure out what those reasons are…

"Do not leave extraneous notes or explanations within the body of the text, as they may end up being typeset as part of the book text."

Ah yes. The publishing equivalent of safety regulations being written in blood.
