We've started a Covid conscious starter pack for Atlantic Canada. Right now it's very Nova Scotia heavy and I know I've missed people. Where are you NB, PEI, and NFLD? Please let me know if you'd like to be added (or removed)!

“If you’re COVID conscious, they want to psychologize you, stigmatize you, threaten you, until you “go back to normal.”
Living with Long COVID often feels like living in a horror movie. Along with your disease comes a creepy Hive Mind refusal to acknowledge the dangers of COVID infection. In Vince Gilligan's new Apple TV show Pluribus, the Hive Mind comes to life:

"Pluribus" captures the isolation of COVID-awareness in a COVID denialist world
For years I've described having Long COVID as living in a horror movie. Now that horror movie (well, prestige Apple TV show) is here.

As we enter the season of holiday gatherings and events, consider illness mitigation strategies. Especially if you're part of an organization that's planning an event, how are you making sure you're not entrenching segregation based on socioeconomic status and disability? 1/4

Sometimes when people ask me why I’m wearing a mask I say I’m traveling or have some important thing soon and can’t afford to get sick and miss it and that’s pretty much always true but I think it would be nice if it were more normalized to just say “I don’t want to get sick” and leave it at that

One simple, powerful and often overlooked thing you can do to resist fascism?
Wear a mask, ideally an N95!
Covid is not over
Masking sends a powerful message that you value your health & the health of your community
That you don’t think disabled lives are expendable
It’s radical community care

Please wear an N95 or better that seals well on your face to help prevent COVID infection. Air must pass through the filter media to be filtered, not leak through gaps at the side (as in a surgical mask).
