When you have a better day, and you're scared to do anything with the energy/clarity because you know how fast you can lose it and it just feels so good to *feel* more alive, you're happy just thinking and feeling. You truly know how sacred life is, and how relentless ME/CFS is.

TIL about a memorial ceremony in Iceland in 2019 to mark the end of a glacier, changing the place name from Okjökull to Ok (jökull = glacier). Uncompromising wording on the bronze plaque:
"This is to acknowledge that we know what is happening and what needs to be done. Only you know if we did it".

Foot in mouth disease - in conjunction with ME/CFS

Yesterday I offended someone here, who then blocked me, due to crossed wires. When I'm crashed, I find it hard to communicate - nuance, tone, clarity. I hate this and do all I can to avoid it.

So, my apologies in advance, it's always accidental!

My latest -- the bigger story about the Canadian-built armoured vehicle purchase by ICE is actually how the war abroad and the war at home are, primarily, economic wars.

At the "kicking and screaming internally" state of a mild/moderate crash.

When you are bored and frustrated and a) need to do stuff; b) KNOW that doing stuff is something you will DEEPLY regret.

free advice: don't get mad at a sick person w/ an unreliable body for not being able to do something

the sick person is probs already pretty mad at themselves (really at their body, but internalized ableism is a helluva drug) and managing a mountain of grief from all the other things they can't do

Yes, Carney is better than Poilievre. Influenza is better than COVID. But that doesn't make influenza awesome.

It was so nice to really "talk" to my best friend & caregiver via this interview during the #PAISprotest yesterday.

He's in my house on a weekly basis, but I haven't properly spoken to him in a decade maybe? We also rarely "see" each other. Thankful! ❤️

Today is #InternationalDayOfPalestinianSolidarity and for someone of us, solidarity is not just a word. It's seeing Palestinians as beloved members of our community, even family, regardless of our ancestry.
