the median person is just incredibly bad at the Internet and a huge percentage of the Internet, recently expanding due to cheaper and increasingly well-tailored tools, is dedicated to stealing their money
AI slop also a great gift to scammers. This business sells bracelets, with all proceeds going to "feeding abandoned dogs" in unspecified locations. How do you know? Because they send you a photo!

Worth noting just how impressive it is that public opinion has so steadily turned against Israel in the United States considering the fact that news like this basically does not get covered in any of the legacy media publications.

The mechanics are very simple: the growth mandate of these companies, vs the profit structure of gambling as a trade for as far as we've known it (it comes mostly from problem users) means your customer acquisition is by definition trying to create problematic use bsky.app/profile/rory...

It's good—very good, and very important—that district courts keep issuing these 100-page rulings upholding the law. It must be incredibly dispiriting to see them overturned in a two-page, lawless, unsigned order, but please, keep them coming. They expose SCOTUS' corruption like nothing else.

there is no legitimate definition of the term "democracy" under which maps like these are "democratic." this level of stovepiping is banana republic shit. this is effectively no different from stuffing a ballot box
Indiana Republicans have unveiled their proposal to re-gerrymander the congressional map & expand their current 7-2 majority to 9-0.

The Dem-held 1st would flip to Trump+12 & the 7th to Trump+19. All 7 GOP seats would be at least Trump+18.

on the one hand trans people are human beings who deserve the same rights as everyone. on the other transphobia plainly turns a person into a intolerable freak who alienates their friends and family bsky.app/profile/luck...
I keep saying it, and saying it, and saying - cis people, if you are a trans ally we need you to stand up for us, visibly and loudly and constantly. It's no longer enough - for anything, but especially trans rights - to assume that the default position is supportive, because it just isn't.
this is a key point. various elite centrists and liberals have become radically pilled on transphobia (likely on Vichy Twitter) and joined the right-wing exterminationist crusade

New Yorkers who heard about the raid showed up at the garage where the feds had gathered, and as federal agents tried to leave, the NYPD cleared the way for them.
