So all the Labour people were like "just wait until the party conference, you'll be surprised at our policy energy"

And the headline announcement is "loans for GP practices"!?

This makes "GST off fruit" look ambitious...

I expect that as the chance of the Nats being in govt next year keeps going down they are gonna pass more and more extreme legislations knowing that Labour won’t reverse them all (or any in a meaningful way).

There's a clue in the name: public health system.

Labour: lets give concessional loans of tax payers' money to the private sector to provide services on a for-profit basis.

National in disguise? No. The false glasses and moustache fell off years ago.

If elected, the Labour Party would prioritise areas with no GPs, or practices with closed or partially closed books.

United States Steel

In recent years, they all paid their execs more than they paid in taxes.

This is what a corporate-rigged system looks like.

This Bill could invalidate the votes of enough people to swing the next election in favour of the current government for no reason other than that they failed to fill out the correct piece of paper by the "proper" time (as defined by the people who benefit from the rule change).

it’s wild that the government plan has been to make things SO bad economically that they can slightly improve only RELATIVE to the disaster and plan for media to ignore their previous destructive actions and promo the improvement as “national needs more time” or “turns it around”
There are enough emergent economic "green shoots" that Opposition parties need to realise now that running a "We're not Them" campaign won't be enough next year.

I'm just going to say that my work-life balance is awful .. I know this, my friends know this. Trust me, I'm chronically bad at it.

But given that, I am still SO much more than my job. The idea that we need to make work even MORE centric to our lives via "integration" is a toxic US cultural import.
