Especially weird because beef stew with onions and potatoes is one of the manliest meals there is.
Fellas, it’s now gay to eat soup or drink milkshakes ☹️

And it is not confined to men with stupid opinions!

Absolutely. People in the left get nervous about the neoliberal vibes but I think it’s actually be a much needed departure from the actually-existing neoliberal era

If we’re serious about making CA more affordable, sustainable & resilient, we must make it easier to build housing, clean energy, transit & climate projects.

Our report makes it clear: the system isn’t working, & it's on us to fix it. More via @frombenc.bsky.social calmatters.org/housing/2025...

Yeah Shoup really did write a genuinely inspirational textbook, which is a completely insane thing to exist
RIP to an extremely real one.

If you don't know anything about Shoup, he was the sort of academic who could write a 700 page book about municipal parking policy and not only have thousands of people read it but have thousands of readers be inspired to change the world by reading it.
I'm deeply saddened to share that Donald Shoup passed away last night. He was the ideal academic—curious, methodical, and concerned with turning ideas into real-world change. TAing his parking course these past few years has one of the greatest honors of my life. Rest in peace, Shoup Dogg.

It’s important that we all encourage and support people who are staying on the job in a difficult time and discourage Trump’s ambition of encouraging everyone to self-purge and do his job for him.

Both/and:
1. We have a systemic problem with inequality

2. Most people are bad at saving and would be better off living more frugally

Figuring out how to be content with a bit less than you want isn’t just a finance tip. It’s a crucially important skill for your mental health!
sorry not to restart the burrito taxi discourse but it’s genuinely funny that we’re being openly fucked sideways by the worst price-gouging & wealth inequality ever, and some of you are like “well if you didn’t want to get fucked sideways why didn’t you make a burrito at home and drink tap water?”
