If Millennials & Gen Z want a future that actually looks like us, we’ve got to start taking the seats that are literally sitting empty. Local power shapes EVERYTHING. We can’t wait our turn. We ARE the turn. The door is wide open—walk in. #Pink #Momsky

There’s nothing like a circle of women who want the best for each other. Women who strategize. Women who mediate between one another and manipulate the world with a unified, equitable objective. You were probably taught that this isn’t our nature. Society stole that from you. We are the best at it.

Think about everything that’s happened since January 2025. Ask yourself which system the Trump administration looks like it is reaching for?

Trump’s actions look a lot like government control, corporate takeovers, and state power creeping into every corner of the economy.

The President of the United States just called for Democratic members of Congress to be executed. "HANG THEM", he posted.

If you're a person of influence in this country and you haven't picked a side, maybe now would be the time to pick a fucking side.

Congratulations to all the Democratic candidates who won tonight. It’s a reminder that when we come together around strong, forward-looking leaders who care about the issues that matter, we can win. We’ve still got plenty of work to do, but the future looks a little bit brighter.

Mike Johnson and the Republicans shut down the government rather than cancel their cuts to healthcare. Millions of people will lose coverage or face skyrocketing costs if they get their way.

Call your member of Congress at (202) 224-3121 and demand they fund healthcare.

Looking at all y’all. Click into stories. Read them. Then share them, preferably saying why.

Then maybe those of us determined to put them out there for you can survive to keep writing them.
As an editor I always hear a lot of: "Why don't you cover climate/environment/prison reform" and 99% of the time the answer is simply "because you don't click those stories!" Readers don't realize they are the ones who dictate all future coverage, and they do it every day with their clicks

Then STFU.
Apparently Trump is now sending the FBI to the homes of innocent protestors, in part to find out who is behind the "criminal conspiracy" arranging these protests.

The real reason is obviously the chilling effect on free speech for those attending.

Know the difference between a Judicial Warrant and an Immigration (administrative) Warrant.

Administrative warrants don’t allow agents to enter private homes. Only judicial warrants, signed by a judge, grant law enforcement the authority to do so.

Do not volunteer additional information.

We had Angela Davis speak at my university a couple of years back. One of the many insightful things she said - protest in the way that aligns with your passion. If that’s poetry do poetry or music etc. Because then you will be able to sustain it. If naked bike rides are your passion, 100% do that.
Someone in my mentions is upset because these people haven’t suffered the worst at ICE’s hands and therefore they shouldn’t be praised for being out on the streets?

Yeah, no. To push back on these people we need everyone — especially those with relative privilege — to get up and get involved.

Things to consider:

Document the violence & violations--on camera, w/photos, saving images--any way you can. Speaking as a historian- it will matter

Point out violations--w/images & text--even if you think it won't matter. It will. It needs to be called out & exposed

You are a witness.
Expose it.
