Would love to see NBC display a shred of awareness of the part they play in putting pressure on athletes. They build them up & put cameras in faces constantly, & when it goes badly they oooh about pressure, meanwhile Andrea Joyce is pinning down Ilia Malinin before he’s even processed his loss. -H

it was crazy watching american broadcast, no highlight of the other american skaters, mentioning malinin during what feels like every program, knowing he'll choke
but if anyone had a reason to choke it was him, i wish he wasnt so glazed for his own sake, the media pressure is what broke him

Is it weird that I dislike Ilia Malinin a lot less now than I did before he pulled one of the biggest choke jobs in Olympic history? Dude was eminently hateable in his arrogance but he handled his humiliation with surprising grace.
