Also they’re an environmental disaster and economic disaster waiting to happen. They use massive amounts of energy to operate at a staggering loss. There’s no upside to this technology.
I know the big backlash against LLMs is pushback against the idea of a computer replacing workers, but that doesn't mean there's not utility there as a tool in certain professions, especially computer-centric ones, and loudly insisting there's none when someone is telling you a use case looks bad.

Maybe he didn’t mean to tweet it? Maybe he meant to email it to other senior administration officials and just accidentally used Twitter instead of email?

Mr. Abrego Garcia was illegally abducted by the Trump Admin and, by their own admission, wrongly deported to El Salvador. He shouldn’t have to spend another second away from his family.

I'm flying to El Salvador tomorrow morning to check on his condition and discuss his return.

Or, or… Kamala lost the 2020 primary and the 2024 election on her own. “Joe couldn’t win” is hilarious given he’s the only person to beat Trump straight up in 9 fuckin years.
they deliberately undermined and sabotaged her to prop up an old man. great. just great.

Do we know the dead money charges? Hawks can walk from Darnold in 2026.
Geno Smith’s deal with the Raiders is now 3 years at around $37 mm a year.

Seattle gave Darnold 3 years, $33.5 mm/year.

Geno’s deal has about $10 mm more in guarantees, but yeah—the whole “much cheaper” justification kinda goes out the window.

This is so dumb. @mikeduncan.bsky.social can you bully Will into listening to Revolutions or going offline to ready a single book about history?
yeah until socialism literally collapsed under the weight of the people it was oppressing as many of them tried to flee their own nations for liberal democracies
The point is there's a reason the "fighting liberal" suddenly lost their love for liberation post WW2 and socialists were able to take that mantle.

This is like insisting the blazers didn’t need to break up CJ/Dame but with none of the playoff success to back it up.
Sure, but the idea that Geno is the reason why or that an extension would’ve kept them from addressing the real problems is simply not grounded in reality
Couldn’t disagree more. There was no pathway to win multiple playoff games, let alone a Super Bowl with the roster the way it was built. Geno leading a pass first offense was given a lot of run, it was mediocre. The Seahawks got good value and roster flexibility they desperately needed.

I feel like now’s a good opportunity to be honest about what was lost. And the answer is not much. His last two teams folded in the second half of seasons (and games). The defense was terrible and he’s a defensive guy. I’ll always appreciate what he did but he wasn’t THE guy for us.
It’s not about being a liar, it’s about *what* you lie about. In this case, Jake Dickert lied about wanting to see this through. And he quit, like a loser.
Hes a liar but aren’t 99% of them liars?

There’s now 20 million and counting, users. I think it’s important to put that into perspective. It’s not possible or even plausible that you’d end up with an echo chamber. At least not organically.
Can no one see that dismissing all echo chamber concerns as a demand to hang out with Nazis is (a) a straw man and (b) reflecting a kind of epistemic closure?

I'm pretty sure many people dismissing these concerns have raised similar questions about the other side. Think: Why would I be immune?

Dems gave away the incumbent advantage and it’s not being talked about at all. Being the incumbent is incredibly powerful! Deeply unpopular ones win all the time! And have historically.
So, let's start off with what I *thought* was going to happen. I don't like to do predictions because I think there's little value in reporters doing that but I think it's good to share for accountability reasons. It also helps for grounding a conversation about what happened.
